I have been a licensed acupuncturist since 2001 when I received a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. Prior to this, I earned a Master of Science degree in Health Psychology/ Behavioral Medicine. I had a very successful private practice in Wisconsin for 13 years before moving to Colorado Springs where I work in my private practice and at Strata Integrated Wellness Spa with a highly skilled team of practitioners.

“I started seeing Kelli when I was 19 in 2002. I had just returned from Mayo Clinic of MN with a severe Fibromyalgia/Auto Immune diagnosis. My dad was already a patient of Kelli’s and suggested that I try acupuncture as my last hope. Kelli worked nothing short of a miracle; it was a journey but the first relief I felt in years. She goes above and beyond to treat the whole person. Kelli is innately in tune with everything she practices. She checked my pulse and tongue every appointment and I can say that no practitioner has done so since Kelli left WI.”
“Her holistic approach includes discussions about diet, stress level, and emotional issues that could be effecting my health. During this discussion Kelli makes me feel comfortable by being a good listener, understanding fully what I am dealing with, and explaining to me what she will focus on during my treatment. This always makes me feel that I am getting the best care for my needs with each appointment!”
“Kelli is a naturally talented acupuncturist. Her treatments are simply effective. Not only does she have the appropriate level of education, but is well trained and knowledgeable from years of experience and can treat a wide variety of ailments. Kelli has a compassionate personality that allows for her to easily connect with her patients, and excellent listening skills (both verbal and nonverbal), which I have valued as a patient. If I had to describe my first acupuncture treatment with Kelli (or any that followed), it would be euphoric.”
“Over the years of acupuncture with Kelli I have become much more ‘balanced’ in the areas of body, mind, and spirit. I certainly feel better in every way. Life is just so much easier than before I found her.”
"Kelli provides a very relaxing environment to access your needs. She is an excellent listener and addresses all of your health and wellness concerns. She takes her time and genuinely is concerned about your well being. Kelli is a highly qualified professional and upon entering her private practice you immediately feel the energy from her aura. A few of my issues were chronic back and hip pain and fatigue. After just the first visit I felt a euphoric sense of relaxation, relieved pain, and increased energy that intensifies with each visit. She provides nutritional and herbal remedies to enhance your experience as well. If you want a reliable, relaxing and positive experience from acupuncture, look no further and enjoy the benefits of a better, healthier you."
"I had my first ever acupuncture treatment last Friday (January 2020). Kelli did an amazing job explaining everything to me. I was a little nervous but found that it really was not scary! In fact, I took a nap during my session and had the most amazing night of sleep that night, too. I have felt a significant amount of increased energy over the weekend as well, one of the areas Kelli noted I could use help with. (As a mom of 9 kids, I can't argue with that!!) I highly recommend Kelli's services!"
"Kelli did an acupuncture treatment last week on me (October 2019). Her evaluation was very comprehensive, she informed me of everything she was doing before and explained it very well. I’ve had acupuncture done from other practitioners and I found Kelli to be far more professional and skilled than others. The atmosphere in her office is very relaxing and peaceful.
I left feeling very relaxed and less pain. I highly recommend her as an acupuncturist."
“Thanks to Kelli’s support, I was able to manage my symptoms of PTSD without having to resort to pharmaceuticals. My anxiety and depression were greatly relieved and I found I was no longer suffering from panic attacks. My migraine headaches also ceased. I also experienced the relief of symptoms related to a genetic disorder—polycystic kidney disease; my nephrologist was amazed at the reduction in my creatinine levels, as this is not typically the case with those diagnosed with PKD. In addition to her exemplary skills in acupuncture and TCM, Kelli is a warm, welcoming, and supportive practitioner who diligently and devotedly attends to her clients. While being a professional source of support, Kelli also empowers her clients to take charge of their own health and wellbeing, adding holistic suggestions where appropriate.”
“We came to know Kelli from a mutual friend after my husband experienced a hemorrhagic stroke at age 47 in 2006. Kelli provided us with knowledge, hope, kindness, results, and true caring. After seeing the positive results my husband experienced, I decided to try acupuncture myself. We have been believers in the benefits of acupuncture since the day Kelli entered our lives. She is an amazing acupuncturist who listens to her patients’ needs and makes a difference in their health and well-being.”
“I began seeing Kelli in 2002 for my migraine headaches. I did get relief not only for my migraines but acupuncture also helped to improve my immune system function, helped me to sleep better, and gave me an overall feeling of improved wellness. Kelli puts her patients first and deeply cares about helping people in any way that she can with regards to healing.”
“I have chronic health issues that have been benefited by acupuncture. The state of complete relaxation I am able to attain during a treatment has helped me maintain balance as I fight the daily stressors that come with chronic illness. The peace of mind that comes from a trusting, caring relationship with any health practitioner is a huge plus for one’s wellbeing in general, as well as healing—Kelli Miller always gives me that peace of mind. ”
“Kelli’s patients in Wisconsin deeply valued her treatments, and her practice there increased rapidly as they recommended her to their friends and family. We referred a number of people to Kelli over the years, and all were very appreciative of the treatment they received from her. She is a gifted healer. Kelli configured her treatment space in such a welcoming way that just entering the serene atmosphere in the waiting area was sufficient to foster release of tension and stress and begin the healing process.”
True healing comes from within; the beauty of Chinese Medicine is that it considers the whole person and promotes balance of our physical, mental, and emotional aspects. From over 20 years of experience with the ancient Chinese art of acupuncture I have developed a strong passion for working with children and adults for health promotion and disease prevention.
Everyone needs acupuncture! You do not need to have health issues to receive acupuncture. Chinese pulse and tongue diagnostic methods can reveal imbalances in your body up to 10 years before symptoms develop, so if you feel healthy - acupuncture can help keep you that way. Imbalances can be identified and treated in children to optimize their health and prevent disease. All children receive acupuncture in China to help them grow up into healthy adults; prevention is the best medicine!
DO THE NEEDLES HURT?
Very thin, flexible needles are used that can be inserted painlessly. There may be a few points where the needle may feel like a mosquito bite, but only for a second or two.
WHAT KINDS OF CONDITIONS CAN BE TREATED WITH ACUPUNCTURE?
I have experience working with patients who have a wide variety of health conditions ranging from allergies, headaches, insomnia, gastrointestinal disorders, low energy, neck, back, knee, shoulder pain and tendonitis, to chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, psychological, reproductive, and neurological disorders and cancer (increases WBC count and relieves other side effects of chemotherapy). I also use a highly specialized form of scalp acupuncture to treat severe neurological disorders (see explanation of scalp acupuncture on the Services page for more information).
IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TCM ACUPUNCTURE AND DRY NEEDLING?
Yes, absolutely! Dry needling is typically performed by healthcare practitioners who are not licensed acupuncturists and have no knowledge of TCM theories or methods. In dry needling, a needle is inserted into a trigger point with the intent of releasing tension in the muscle. Dry needling is only useful for treating certain kinds of pain. In contrast, TCM acupuncture is performed by licensed acupuncturists who base their insertion of needles on TCM theory and underlying root imbalances in the body. TCM acupuncture is able to treat a wide variety of health issues and can even be used to promote health and prevent disease.
IS MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE THE SAME AS TCM ACUPUNCTURE?
No! Medical acupuncture is performed by healthcare professionals who are not licensed acupuncturists. Rather than having a Master's level of training in acupuncture, those who perform medical acupuncture have taken a weekend seminar to learn how to place needles in the body for pain relief. Medical acupuncture is not able to treat underlying imbalances of health concerns and is best used for conditions such as knee pain, shoulder pain and neck pain.
